Ladies...desperate times call for desperate measures! So, I couldn't resist grabbing one of Catherine's photos from markbellhorn.net.

I've spent most of today looking up tickets for a Louisville game and I gotta say... trying to find a GOOD seat to see the Bats play ANYWHERE is proving to be extremely difficult. Right field, left field, upper deck... this just isn't going to cut it. There's no point in sitting in the upper deck or the outfield when the sole intent is to take stalker-azzi-esque photos. Even with a zoom lens, a girl's gotta be between the bases!! So, alas... the quest continues!
That ball rolling incident was HILARIOUS. What was he doing?? His finger pointing always makes me laugh. I also heard thru the grapevine that he could consider a second job in the Adult Film Industry... if you get my drift!!
I just saw that the All Star game is in ALBUQUERQUE! UGH! I went to a conference there in January. The experience was less than delightful. (Due to the people I had to share it with!) Althought the place we stayed had a great spa. Hmmmm... maybe we need to plan a girls weekend to the All Star game and spa treatments!
***Kelly have you been using your lens much this season??***
I have--I've just been very bad about site updates (and checking in here! eek!), and haven't had GOOD seats for a game yet (got a few coming up, at least!). One thing I'd say is that a monopod does help with the 100-400 lens being so demanding of light. Might be irrelevant with good seats (as you certainly seem to have better ones than I do!) but I find in shooting from the far reaches it does let me get decent sharpness at slower shutter speeds. I have an inexpensive Canon monopod that I can shorten enough to keep the base on my seat for stability.
You certainly got some superior shots in May, Eryn! ^_^ Wow! What a weekend that was--nice to come out of it with such tremendous souvenirs, too!
Next year's All-Star game is in Louisville. I hope poor Mark's not still slogging away in the minors then.

How come once you vote and try and vote again right after Marks name has been taken off?
Eryn, I thought it was in Louisville?
Posted by: ??? | Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 07:06 PM
This is what it says on the MILB Website:
"Isotopes Park, the home of the Pacific Coast League's Albuquerque Isotopes, will play host to the Triple-A All-Star Game on July 11, 2007."
http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/events/allstargames.jsp
I see a number of different games listed (which is confusing) but none of them in Louisville...

Is Mark no longer on the ballot???
Posted by: eryn | Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 09:59 AM
Not the first time I voted but I tried again right after and he wasn't on it. I also can't find the breakdown of who's leading the voting.
The Bats are playing the Pawsox in two weeks. I might go but I'm not sure.

The camo jerseys the Bats wore last night are supposed to be auctioned off, BTW...

Mark is second from bottom on the first page. Bidding starts at $75. Let's see if he out does everyone again, ahah.
